Pop star began the London leg of her Eras tour when welcoming Prince William celebrates his 42nd birthday at taylor Swift concert. On Saturday she published a selfie with William's children, taken backstage.

William posted a photo of his children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, backstage at Taylor Swift's concert on Friday at Wembley Stadium.

The American pop star seemed equally delighted, posting a selfie in X with the three royals and her boyfriend Travis Kelce, alongside the caption "Happy Bday M8! (Happy Birthday my friend!) London shows are off to a splendid start GBUS"

“The London concerts are off to a wonderful start,” she added.

A video widely shared on social networks shows William, heir to the throne, dancing energetically to Taylor Swift's hit Shake it off.

Among the nearly 90,000 fans packed into the stadium was Keir Starmer, leader of the Labor Party, who took advantage of an election campaign evening to attend Friday night's concert with his wife.

Mr Starmer said on Saturday that Taylor Swift had been “absolutely fantastic”.

“I'm not going to pretend that I've bought every album and know every song, but Change is my favorite song for obvious reasons,” he told reporters during his campaign, referring to his electoral slogan.

Taylor Swift is touring the UK as part of the European leg of her Eras Tour.

She will give another concert in London on Sunday before returning to the British capital in August.

The star has already played gigs in Edinburgh, Liverpool and Cardiff, and will next head to Dublin.

The London Mayor's Office announced Thursday that the tour's London shows would generate £300 million (or more than $519 million Canadian) for the city's economy.

Several murals dedicated to Taylor Swift, as well as a special subway map, whose stations are named after songs, were created to mark her tour.
